A cassette awning has a fully enclosed cassette that protects the fabric and the mechanism when retracted. This protects the awning from weather influences such as rain, dirt or UV radiation and significantly extends its service life. Open awnings, on the other hand, offer no such protection and are better suited to sheltered installation situations, for example under canopies. A cassette awning is therefore particularly recommended for exposed terraces and balconies that are exposed to the weather.
The sizes and projections vary depending on the model. With a maximum width of 5 meters and a projection of 2.25 meters, the compact PURABOX is ideal for smaller outdoor areas. Larger models such as the RESOBOX reach widths of up to 18 meters (in coupled design) and a maximum projection of 4 meters, making them ideal for large terraces and gastronomic applications. The TENDABOX and CAMABOX with a width of up to 7 meters are ideal for medium-sized installations.
Yes, the tilt can be individually adjusted on all models. The CASABOX, for example, offers tilt adjustment from 0° to 90°, while the TENDABOX allows a maximum tilt of 85°. This flexibility ensures that the awning can be optimally adapted to the position of the sun to provide shade exactly where it is needed.
Yes, models such as the RESOBOX are specially designed for large-scale applications. With a maximum width of 18 meters (in coupled version) and a projection of 4 meters, they provide sufficient shade for large terraces, gardens or outdoor catering areas. These awnings are equipped with robust articulated arms that ensure a tight fabric tension even with such dimensions.
Yes, cassette awnings are very easy to clean. The closed cassette protects the fabric and the mechanism from dirt, which reduces the amount of cleaning required. A damp cloth is sufficient for cleaning the cassette to remove dust and dirt. The awning fabric can be cleaned with a mild detergent if necessary. Regularly check the folding arms and screw connections to ensure that the mechanism is working smoothly.
